Obama Ashamed of Community, but Not Nation of Islam,
If Hobama’s half-baked, invented, stretched, and intentionally-misinterpreted-by-the-media-denunciations of Farrakhan didn’t persuade his Jewish listeners, at least they could leave the evening with one sound impression, that Obama lives in a strange, and derelict community. Don’t follow? Just put 2 and 2 together.
When Barry speaks about his community in speeches, he is heroic, and so is the community. When he speaks about the community to a group of people to whom he attributes his existence, and a great deal of ability to help him get elected, suddenly the very same community is populated by ex-criminals who can only be dealt with by America’s most hardened anti-Semites. Suddenly the community for which Obama claims to have worked so hard, has a church (of which the Obamas’ are two decade long member) that is led by a pastor who Obama explicitly characterizes as a loony, half senile, racist “uncle.”
2+2 and take Obama’s words literally: the community he praises in his speeches, is the one which he claims to have “consistently” ” denounced,” and for which he now finds himself apologizing.
And you thought I was kidding, when I said the Evening with Cleveland’s Jews never made headlines, because it was being kept from Blacks?
Well there is good news. No need to keep the interview from public scrutiny. Most of its content is BS, and contrived. Obama has never denounced Farrakhan. Never. The closest he came, was when literally forced to do so by Hillary. He pretended there was no difference between rejecting and denouncing, and slipped in a clever
If the word “reject” Senator Clinton feels is stronger than the word “denounce,” then I’m happy to concede the point, and I would reject and denounce.
No, not stronger Hussein0, but entirely of a different scale. First, what does “reject” imply?
RUSSERT: Do you reject his [Farrakhan’s] support?
OBAMA: Well, Tim, you know, I can’t say to somebody that he can’t say that he thinks I’m a good guy.
Hm… interesting… Hobama can’t tell people not to call him a good guy. Can he tell them not to call him a bad guy? (He does that an awful a lot.) Because that’s what Farrakhan’s support amounts to in modern day America. It amounts to an endorsement from a bigot, racist, and Islamist.
If Ossama bin Laden said “Vote Obama in 2008″, will Obama also refuse to reject him because he can’t tell people not to call him a good guy? Would he give us the same line as with the Odious One?
Obamasama, loves word games, doesn’t he? Especially if “rejecting” someone’s support amounts to losing it. In the case of Farrakhan, to losing that part of the black American vote, which rests squarely in the staples of his Nation of Islam. One million voters anyone? For a game of words?
Like the one in the Obama quote I just quoted
If the word “reject”…
Ok. So if reject is stronger, then I would both reject and denounce. If, then he would. For those who do not follow, let me give you an example of how one actually rejects:
“I reject Farrakhan’s endorsement” and “I reject what he stands for”
See the difference? No ifs and buts, no woulds, or coulds.
Another exercise. Ossama Son of Laden gives Obama the thumbs up. Obama says:
If the word “reject” Senator Clinton feels is stronger than the word “denounce,” then I’m happy to concede the point, and I would reject and denounce.
A bit clearer, no? His answer sounds playful and light, it’s gots its ifs and gots its buts. But when you substitute Farrakhan with the son of Laden, such frolicking makes you nervous. It conveys annoyance, hesitation, a kind of “oh, I don’t really care,” which you don’t expect in connection to a terrorist. Farrakhan hasn’t killed anyone, but his ideology is in many parts indistinguishable from Bin Laden’s.
Contrary to Obama’s sophomoric ruminations, the precise difference between reject and denounce is not in their strenght. It is in the function. Rejecting, means not accepting. Denouncing, implies accepting as false and wrong. Rejecting can be instinctive, denouncing is based on judging, by reflecting.
Rejecting Farrakhan should be instinctive for a man running to be the leader of our diverse, and tolerant nation. It should not require prodding, and remain free of word games and conditional pollutants. If Obama cannot bring himself to do this he has has problems with his instinct, and hence faulty judgment. Asked about Farrakhan, he needs to immediately respond without hesitation:
“I denounce Farrakhan” and “I denounce Farrakhan’s endorsement” “I denounce what Farrakhan represents, I judge it as pernicious, and contrary to our nation’s values, which I aspire to represent.”
Now some may be shocked by such clear, and unqualified statements. Just as I’m shocked to hear Obama unable to parse such simple words. Unable to denounce and reject, but plenty able to lie, evade, and fabricate. Unwilling to tell American’s that Farrakhan’s is bad, yet able to tell Americans that Farrakhan has done good. Willing to stress that Farrakhan’s hateful statement do not make him an evil man, but anxious to say that Farrakhan’s community work do make him a good man.
Unfamiliar with Farrakhan, some readers legitimately wonder what there is to reject and denounce about this avuncular crisp (n.) , living three blocks from Obama’s hearth, receiving lifetime achievement awards from the Church Obama finances, being buddies (for more than thirty years) with Obama’s spiritual master, blessing Obama to run for the Illinois Senate, and now shepparding his million strong Islamic forces to vote for Obama as the Great Hope of the World.
Aside from what comes out of Farrakhan’s foul mouth,
“White people are potential humans — they haven’t evolved yet”
“Murder and lying comes easy for white people.”
did you forget what the organization he leads represents? What it is? Did you forget that the Cleveland Jews to whom Obama had to apologize for his Chicago community, and half-disown Farrakhan, have specific associations with Farrakhan, and his organization? His organization which is
The Nation of Islam. The Nation of Islam. Not a progressive, or modern Islam, but a National one.
A quick sample of some of their declared beliefs helps clarify who they are-
Belief in the One God, Whose proper name is Allah.
Belief in the need to separate white and black people into separate territories.
Belief in the hypocrisy of racial integration.
Belief in the respect (but in Muslim tradition, not the equality) of Black women.
The NOI, has a set of specific secessionist demands to make of the White United States of America. For more than 30 it desires
The right for people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves to be allowed, to establish separate state or territory of their own – “either on this continent or elsewhere.” (funded in full for six years by the U.S. and another six years partially funded by the U.S.)
Freedom for all Believers of Islam [includes terrorists!] now held in federal prisons, as well as freedom for all black men and women now under death sentence in innumerable prisons in the North as well as the South. (despite their crimes)
For the government of the United States to exempt our people from ALL taxation as long as blacks are deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land.
Cleveland Jews associate Farrakhan with some explicit anti-semitic statements. Obama has “rejected ” some specific, although unidentified and thus nonexistent, anti-semitic Farrakhan statement. What he has deliberately forgotten, hence deliberately covered up, is that Farrakhan is a dangerous racist, Islamist, and separatist, who represents the worst of America. He is not just an antisemite. The Odious One, and his organization are a black version of the KKK.
Obama’s reluctance to distance himself from this leader of the Black Klan , creates another, even thornier problem. By selectively focusing on Farrakhan’s anti-semitism, Barry-0 is reinforcing a primal stereotype among hardened Nation of Islam supporters- that the Jews run America, and are making Obama nominally “reject” Farrakhan; that the Jews are the ones attacking Obama on Farrakhan, because Farrakhan has “dared” to take them on.
Think I am stretching it?
Farrakhan’s reaction to Russert’s Obama interview with Mischeif Making should not dampen support for Obama, will be stretched to mean exactly that by his NOI flock. As the ADL reports, Farrakhan concluded his endorsement of Obama with recommendations of Anti-Semitic literature (!) , and the book The Synagogue of Satan, was freely sold at the rally attended by 20,000 Farrakhan followers.
I will give Obama the benefit of the doubt, and assume his focus on Farrakhan’s anti-semitism, is not a deliberate play on the stereotypes of NOI members. But I will also give Barry-0 advice on how to not give such an impression: stop playing games, and come clean on Farrakhan not only for his anti-semitic statements, but for the Odious Creature that he is.
If you have something to be ashamed of, Barry, it isn’t your community, its your inability to clearly, and forthrightly denounce and reject Farrakhan. Furthermore, as I already argued,
What Obama never did, and still refuses to do, is renounce his present identification with Farrakhan as a hero of misguided parts of the African-American community. Obama refuses to fully disclose his association with Farrakhan in the past, and he refuses to disclose the extend of his identification with Farrakhan.

Jessica: I email the cable news networks all the time complaining about their biased coverage. I do it primarily for kicks b/c sad to say, I dont think anyone at these places cares. But it good to keep at it. I plan to.
Jamal: Another great article! It really amazes me that this hasn’t received much media coverage. If this were a White candidate being endorsed by neo nazis, he would’ve been raked over hot coals and probably forced to suspend his campaign– and rightfully so! My point is that there’s a clear double-standard at work, and that’s not equality. If we really want a society where Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Asians, etc are equal, then we should all be treated equally! A Black candidate shouldn’t get away with having racist affiliations simply b/c he’s Black. How deplorable. I hope America wakes up about Obama soon.
And you know, I’ve been wondering lately if these conservative pundits have any conscience whatsoever. I know that Glen Beck, Bill Oreilly, Rush Limbaugh and the like DO NOT want to see Obama in the White House, yet they’ve treated him w/kid gloves in much the same manner that the liberal media has. They’re probably all more interested in taking out Hillary b/c they think Obama will be easier to beat in the general election. Disgusting. I may not always agree w/these individuals, but I thought that they at least had convictions– apparently not.
That video on youtube is what I’ve thought about Obama all along. I’m just wondering why all these supposedly educated people voting for him haven’t.
Jamal,
Man you are wasting your intelligence. I would challenge you to deepen your research and broaden your viewpoint as you come across extremely tunnel visioned. This is the first time that I have come across your work and I am very disappointed. I think that you completly miss the mark in positing a reasoned and rationale rebuttal to Senator Obama’s candidacy. You are fear-mongering and thusly making an appeal to the basest part of human sentiment. As a result your diatribe is void of scholarship, integrity and the refinement that you could represent. I cannot help but wonder if your angst is not a contrived affair altogether? Do you have serious legitmate issues with the Senators candidacy or have you rent out your talent and intellect in exchange for money?
to Demetric:
you know, I have a lot of jewish friends, I DON’T THINK its a “narrow” view to ask tough questions of someone who is RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!!!!!
Farrakkan has stated in the past that Hitler is a hero!!!!!!! and although Obama says he “denounces” Farrakan, Obama will NOT denounce Rev.Wright who admires Farrakan….
should we overlook this????????? I SAY NO!!!!!!! OBAMA IS RUNNING TO REPRESENT ALL RACES NOT JUST ONE!
SO WHAT WE SHOULD ALL BOW DOWN to MEssaih OBAMA, and NOT QUESTION HIM ON ANYTHING?? What world are you living in??? You think this is tough? why don’t you check out what the repubs have already started to line up against Sen. Obama?
And by the way I am a minority! I am sick of you OBAMA people saying “I am either stupid or a racist ” because I am not a Obama-bot.
2 Former Obama Supporter: I totally agree! I’m also a “minority,” and I’ve been called racist and sellout for not supporting Obama. Oh, and I’ve also been accused of being stupid, of course. This is the arrogance of many Obamamites– they assume anyone not embracing their messiah must be mentally challenged or uneducated. Well, I have a master’s degree and am in full possession of my faculties, thank you very much– But I’ll never vote for Obama!
Demetric. I dare thee to post a response, to point out errors, to describe my narrowness. I dare thee to show me the errrors of my path.
Can’t do it?
Thank you for you comment.
