Obama, Islam, the Lies
There is nothing wrong with being Muslim, or having the middle name Hussein. What is wrong, is to lie about it. Obama is doing just that. Lying about his religion, and asking television journalists to deliberately leave out his middle name from introductions (not the same for Hillary, but same for McCain).
The record indisputably indicates that Obama is a practicing Christian, for the last 20 years of his life. The record is equally indisputable that
Obama was born a Muslim to a non-practicing Muslim father and for some years had a reasonably Muslim upbringing under the auspices of his Indonesian step-father. [Pipes]
Yet, Obama lies about this, and his official message on his website is:
Obama Has Never Been A Muslim [liar]
False, un-true, a lie.
Which should have everyone wonder what (and if) Obama means by the following:
One of the things that’s very important in this day and age is that we don’t use religion as a political tool and certainly that we don’t lie about religion as a way to score political points. [christianity today]

I am more relaxed, and the only feeling holding sway over me, is incredulity. How could the media have ignored this?
Personally, I never believed that Hillary’s camp was behind the email smearing Obama as a maddrassah student. I think, and call this speculative, because it is, I think Obama was behind the email. It was a red-herring, and it worked. Everyone shut up, and shut down their brains.
Before I present the evidence of Obama’s years as Muslim, I want to present a short list of just a few of his lies about never having been Muslim.

Well, if you want to argue about the meaning of “practice,” renowed Islamic scholar Daniel Pipes notes:
Muslims do not see practice as key. For them, that he was born to a line of Muslim males makes him born a Muslim. Further, all children born with an Arabic name based on the H-S-N trilateral root (Hussein, Hassan, and others) can be assumed to be Muslim, so they [Muslims] will understand Obama’s full name, Barack Hussein Obama, to proclaim him a born Muslim.
Obama, born to a Muslim father, and with a Muslim stepfather, was both born and raised Muslim.
So much for a short review of Obama lies about religion, to improve his political chances, now on to the reality of Obama’s Muslim youth.

Okay, that one I don’t know he said, for sure. I read it somewhere and went, huh? It just seems incredible if he really said it.
Because didn’t he meet his step-father? Sure he was non-practicing, but there are stories that he attended mosque sometimes. And there are stories Obama went with him.
Let’s get this out of the way, most Muslims are not terrorists. Stupid even to feel I have to say that.
But, yes, he lied when he said he was never a Muslim. Although he might mean he was never a believer, because children usually can’t choose their religion. But he was probably registered as a Muslim at both Indonesian schools he went to because evidentially they require religious declaration and his step-father would have chosen that religion. They also get an hour or something (or did) to study the selected religion.
Such as Cathloics — many Cahtolics are non-practicing, but will always consider themselves Catholic anyway since that was the religion they were brought up in. So there is no reason his step-father wouldn’t have considered himself a Muslim in the same way.
This is the most stupid lie he has made and it is probably the major reason, if he wins the nomination, he will NOT win the election. Because it is the most easily provable one; it doesn’t take much web searching to turn the facts up. So why do people back off?
Oh, well, Obama’s lies litter the ground. Like he wants to keep race out of the election, even though he brought it into it in the first place with his often repeated copying of MLK’s “I have a dream” speech.
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe he can bamboozle people about it in the general election too, if he gets the nomination. But I doubt it.
I also keep questioning why he lies about it. Almost makes one believe in the stealth Muslim idea.
(Although I don’t, not really. But the consistent lying on this point sure will lay the groundwork for a lot of right winger to believe it.)

I don’t get why Obama keeps lying about his muslim upbringing. By lying he’s saying that he thinks it’s something to be ashamed of, you know? Which is rather hypocritical since he’s supposed to be all about diversity and inclusion. Also, I think it’s ridiculous for him to try to censor anyone from using his middle name— it’s his name for goodness sake! Why shouldn’t we be able to use it in reference to him?? By censoring, once again, he’s saying that he has something to be ashamed of. When is the mainstream media going to call him on all of this?? Soon, I hope!!

Not sure if you print other perspectives here, but I have to disagree w/ you. Just because you are related to someone by a marriage does not make you a practicing Muslim. I read his book Dreams of My Father, written BEFORE he did anything in politics and although he does discuss living in Indonesia he never mentions attending mosque, or that his step father did so. Plenty of people are born into a religion (as his step father was) by way of a culture but that does not mean that they practice the rites of the religion. And I would definitely say that living w/ someone by marriage to your mother does not make you a practicing muslim. My husband is muslim, but I guarantee you I do not practice and am not a muslim. In fact, my two children could easily live in our home and not be muslim (although they are). Just something to ponder, if you are really looking for facts, that is.
being ashamed of your past is simply being ashamed of yourself.
