Senate Record is Clear, Obama Empty-talker

Obama for Democratic Presidential Candidate? Because he is outstanding, talented, and can do the work needed to bring about change?
I compared Obama’s official US Senate record with that of Hillary. The results are nothing short of shocking. 90 % of the time Hillary outperforms Obama. That is to say 9 out of 10 times he does about half the work Hillary can do. Don’t believe me? Look for yourself:
This is how Obama’s work stacks up with Hillary’s for the 110th Congress.
This is how Obama’s work compares to Hillary’s in the 109th Congress:
This is a composite comparison of the work Obama did in his first year in the Senate, with the amount of work Hillary did in her first year in the Senate:

And finally, here is a composite comparison of the amount of work Obama did in his second year in the Senate, compared to the amount of work Hillary did in her second year in the Senate:
Need clarification? The graphs are based on statistics available to the public. Any reader can take these numbers and plot them, as I have, and you will always get the same results. Results which clearly show, the gap not just in experience between Obama and Hillary, but capacity to work. My next five posts, I’ll give you the details.

I really enjoy coming to your site because here I can finally read the TRUTH. The sad thing about this entire primary election is that NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE FACTS ANYMORE. The majority of Obama’s supporters are 18-30. I can understand now why Obama has not did anything exciting as a Senator because he has been too busy planning his presidential election. As a concerned citizen, I pray that the Republicans stop him during the General Election.

I’m sorry but I don’t find any truth to your website. I was initially intrigued because I thought it would offer an objective opinion as to why Obama supporters should think twice before deciding to give him their vote. I have to say, I’m really disappointed to find the obvious smear campaign you’ve got going against Obama. The claims you make against him are hardly relevant and the way you attack his character and integrity is not commendable. Where are the facts? And why do you think it’s okay to take his words out of context to use them to your advantage? And above all, why do you hate him so much? You should think twice before calling someone a liar. And accusing him of being unexperienced? He served in the Illinois Senate from 1997-2004. He was elected into the U.S. senate in 2004 with 70% of the vote. Seems to me people liked him back then before all the media hype. He has sponsored/co-sponsored 570 bills of which 15 have become law. He was voted top 10 people who could change the world (the only politician on that list) by a British magazine in 2005. So what exactly is your point? “Senate Record is Clear, Empty Talker” eh. I hope those words taste just as good going down as they did when you first spit them up.

Are you playing dumb Carrie, or worse?
Do you have troubles with numbers?
In one year alone, Hillary co-sponsored 497 bills (or do you have trouble reading the graphs in the next posts?), not counting how many she sponsored.
I live in chicago dear, and I can tell you that the only time I ever heard Obama’s name mentioned before 2004, was in the back pages for campaigns.
Get lost nutcase.
ooooh look, Obama mentioned in a British publication in 2005. We know who planted that one, don’t we?
The weirdo doesn’t even have his Illinois record.

Looooser
Jeez, you guys get exited.
In case you are wondering. I changed the graphs here, because the ones I initially displayed were inaccurate. Please don’t use them or quote them.
The updated graphs are free-domain, and entirely accurate.
Apologies,
Juanita
Wized, no I’m not playing dumb. Like I said before, I initially came to this site because I was looking for an objective opinion as to why someone who supports Obama should think twice before doing so. I was only stating that I have found very little information to support your cause. I don’t have a problem reading graphs, they were unclear. If you look below, Juanita apologizes for the misleading graphs, which was what was baffling me in the first place. You’re being from Chicago is completely irrelevant, I know plenty of people from Chicago who like Obama.
I obviously stumbled into the wrong place. If you want people to respect the reasons you’re not voting for him, you should at least be open to being objective and giving facts instead of resorting to name calling. I have no reason to insult you.
This site should be called “We ate Obama and everyone that supports him”.
If you’re not willing to hear what the other side has to say, how do you expect to win your battle.
Oops, my bad I meant to say “We hate Obama” not “We ate Obama” ha!
All this cyber drama is starting to rot my brain.
i’m being repetitive, but i want to point out again that these graphs look only at the NUMBER of bills/amendments sponsored etc, and not at what they were actually about. it’s a simplistic and i would say even petty attempt at comparing their records. if you want a real comparison, try http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/20/201332/807/36/458633, or do the digging yourself. i’m not saying necessarily that i agree with the author of the link i just gave, but just that juanita’s graphs are just nice numbers, no substance.
Are you dumb, or stupid Jen? It takes serious brain damage to think that Obama worked less and did more, while Hillary did more and work less.
DailyKos is pure bullshit. They sold their skanky ass to Obama in 2004. You can see it from the lenght of their “successful bills” boxes.
You Obamabots ARE shitbrains.
Carrie. I think you are wrong. You wanted a site that would have the “right” information about Obama, not “accurate” information.
The two are quite different. “Right” information, means its whimsical, but half-true. “Accurate” in the case of Obama, means its serious, and absolutely true.
Just like Jen here, who can’t tell the difference between the “right” information, hacked by some DailyKos Obamabot, and “accurate” information about Hillary’s and Obama’s voting performance.
The evidence is in. One lousy senator from Springfield, one outstanding workhorse from Washington DC.
After Obama loses the primary, he can audit for the Simpsons. He can play himself: The Toxic Messiah of Springfield.
Carrie,
Just so you know, Obama won that 70% landslide victory to his freshman seat in the senate because he ran virtually against no one. I question the mindset of someone who only after a year of being a senator thinks he is qualified for the most important job in the universe. What about all the “change” he promised for Illinois? We dont even know if this man is re-electible for his seat in the senate. You are being fooled Carrie.
Best Regards.
As someone who really likes Obama, I also admire Hillary’s accomplishments. No I’m not a nutcase, I don’t have problems with numbers and I’m not being fooled and, like Jen, I’m neither dumb nor stupid. Maybe I’m just not as good as you all at digging up the “right” information, or should I say “accurate” (whatever MattC’s interpretation is of either word might be). All I’ve seemed to have stumbled onto is a bunch of garbage. Not just on this site but on others as well. And if you really believed that this site provided the most accurate information, you’d probably have to do less shit talking and actually get people on the fence to listen to you.
[…] Same can’t be said for Senator Clinton. I’ve already written about her output compared to Obama’s. She beats him by a long shot, and has done so from the day she set foot in the Senate floor. Obama IS empty. […]
Hey this website is guy. Yall are dumb, and suck at your reasons for not voting obama. GET A LIFE…………..VOTE OBAMA………THANKS
I am so so sorry for you. your data is inaccurate and biased.
I’m at a loss for words, when it comes to voting for the next dictator. I have decided to with-hold any vote for anything, because politics is the devil. I haven’t voted since I graduated High School. Oh, I guess that means that I have NEVER voted.
Does this make me any less of a person? Not in my mind.
I don’t want to be the one responsible for putting anyone in any office that has power over an entire country. The mistake to think that your popularity vote has any say as to who the electoral colleges actually put into office.
It’s all rigged anyway. I don’t know why anyone even cares…
thats it, dude
