The second comment by tk says it all really. Once he’s elected he will change the US indeed, but unfortunately in the direction Bush has already started; to limit the freedom of people - all over the world - in all thinkable ways. Change indeed! Throughout history charismatic men who came to power based on rhetoric and messianic messages have all proven to spell disaster for the people who elected them. Germany 1933 strike a bell? Stalin, although not elected was a very charismatic leader. Obama is another naked emperor, to quote Hans Christian Andersen. Wish this website the best in getting the message of sanity broadcast to many more than the few who visit you!

Obama is a quack and his followers are wackos!
If he wins, our country is finished, and I’m moving to Canada.

tk, you are very, very sick individual. That man, Obama, will never win any type of election. The republicans will not be easy on him like Hillary has. All you dreams will soon become a nightmare. Obama is a Liar, Fake and goes around stealing others ideas and campaigns and tries to make them his own. He will be held accountable for all of his shady deals. AMERICA WAKE UP.

  6. Alex Weldonon 20 Feb 2008 at 10:58 am 6

Freedoma are limited by those who operate as puppets. PACs are the puppeteers which operate puppets to ensure their agendas are successfully put in operation. Hillary has clearly already proven herself as such; taking a stance only where it’s safe (won’t harm her PAC contributions). Obama does not take PAC contributions and, therefore, has no one to answer to but the American people. I don’t want a puppeteer in office, but that’s fine if you people do.

  7. NMon 20 Feb 2008 at 11:58 am 7

Wow! You guys have nailed Senator Obama on…….absolutely nothing. Your site claims to point out lies that Obama has said yet there is nothing but ‘redacted’ questions that I assume you’ll try and fill in when you can think of them. You have that and a whole lot of opinion. A little advise for you, instead of trying to tear down people, you might want to figure out a way to boost your candidate, McCain, I assume. He will surely need it come November. And if your candidate is Hillary, you are underlining the fact that I’ve been telling people for years, she’s more of a ‘right-winger’ than people think. These tactics are simply proof of that.

  8. SemperFiWMon 20 Feb 2008 at 7:41 pm 8

NM - please go check the facts of Obama’s record.

Here is a fact. My father is retired Army and I was in the USMC.
    Veterans Issues - Retired Enlisted Association: Obama - 12%, Hillary - 41%

I also don’t agree with hidden weapons and I do believe in limitations. If you are going to have them out in public, they should be showing at all times. And the adult should be held to the highest accountability should anything happen to it (i.e. your child gets the weapon and kills his friend).
Gun Issues - Gun Owners of America: Obama - 100%, Hillary 0%

So, who is the right-winger? Please do a little research before you go making assumptions.

And there is nothing wrong with being moderate.

You know, I was skeptical and then I read the profiles. This is one of the more brilliant jokes I have seen in some time.

    Almost pulled it off too.

It’s obviously a waste of time to come in here with facts because facts are the last things that matter on this site.

  15. Debon 24 Feb 2008 at 8:51 am 15

Obama will destroy the nation. Everything about his campaign has been “borrowed” from someplace else, from his economic policy that mirrors Hillary Clintons, to his attacked on a war vote that he wasn’t even in the US senate to make, to his voting for almost every funding Bill to the war, to even his “yes we can” slogan that was used by Chavez and Bob the Builder.

Change we Xerox will be a monumental slogan if that man were ever to become President.

And this site will not be banned, because in America there is something called freedom of speech, and if Obama is able to stomp all over it? Well then he is the man we are warning you Borg followers about.

  16. DLon 25 Feb 2008 at 1:05 pm 16

I wonder how quick this website goes down after Hillary drops out of the race? Even if Obama was a muslim, there is no war on muslims. It seems like you guys are the problem with america. So much division based on race, class, etc. I am surprised the clinton campaign can still pay you guys with her lack of fundraising… Its about over for you… Thanks for keeping it interesting, “inevitable ones”

How can u blame a country dying which it isnt (lie) on a guy who isnt even in office (yet)? You guys are Democrats, can you not see that its 8 years of Bush that just possibly may have caused this so called “death of America”.

“3) Obama’s opposition to the Iraq war, while laudable in hindsight made little sense in 2002, except when his family, ethnic, and religious identity enter the equation.”

    You guys aren’t serious right?

Obama, along with 10s of millions of other Americans, thought back in ‘02 that the Iraqi invasion was a moral and strategic disaster.

In fact, the only thing really special about Obama’s speech in ‘02 (besides his characteristic eloquence), is that he was a politician actually saying what tons of non-politicians were already saying.

  20. Johnon 27 Feb 2008 at 11:44 pm 20

I am a lifelong Democrat, politically active in my community, and at one time held a small government position as a Democrat. I support Hillary Clinton to the end. I will not vote for Obama, he has no idea what he is in for; media scrutiny, a war, crap economy… etc. Rhetoric will not end the war, change the deficit, etc…

I’m voting for McCain if he wins the nomination. I hope a lot of people feel this way.

  21. Nickon 28 Feb 2008 at 1:58 pm 21

This website is the most pathetic I’ve ever seen. It is about as thinly veiled a ploy as Nader’s decision to run for office again.

You Neo-Cons really are nervous, aren’t you?

  22. Marcoon 28 Feb 2008 at 5:54 pm 22

Hey Jeff: your profile says Goldberg but your post says Gold. Did you forget your own name? Whoever is running this site needs to put more time into keeping your fake personas consistent.

BTW, I’m a huge Hillary Clinton supporter but this crap disgusts me. Oh and John, if you’re really a lifelong Democrat, you’re not acting like one if you want to put McCain in the Whitehouse.

  23. R. Con 28 Feb 2008 at 6:37 pm 23

I agree with you John. If Obama gets the nomination, I will vote for McCain. At least he has experience. Then after he has really messed up the country in four years, Hillary can run again and show them how it’s done. As for Obama? Michelle has already told him that if he doesn’t win, he won’t run again. (look it up, it’s true).
I think I will run for President. I mean…I am as qualified as Obama is. The first thing I would do is strengthen education. That would prevent any more cult followings of empty candidates. People would be smart enough to see through it.

Wow, hey nick, as a conservative as well as an economic major, I would love to debate you on the economic proposals that this man has brought to the table. They have nothing but negative consequences for an already struggling economy. Obama has a pure mercantalist thinking and only wants more government control. When are we going to put our foot down and say no more to the federal government? when r we, as citizens, tell the government to get out of our pockets. As the son of an entraprenour, government control over the economy does nothing but restrict employment as well as create inflation. I’m sorry if this is quite strong, but barrack obama’s economic policys are worst then hilary’s and if this man is elected, we can look forward to either 8 years of gradual recession or taxes up to our eye balls in order to pay for this man’s rediculous proposals

  27. mbjon 03 Mar 2008 at 10:09 am 27

I think we need to be very careful about falling for insiparational and charismatic words. Obama is without doubt a presence, I have had the fortune of hearing him speak in person. Unfortunately it is simply well crafted rhetoric with very little substance.
Just as the country fell for folksy Bush, a knee jerk reaction to the opposite extreme, for a false prophet of change, will leave the US on a fast road to collapse. Perhaps this is what some in the far left want, but as a non-citizen I must say that i am concerned for the implications of an Obama presidency on global stability.
Without doubt the US needs to readjust its global postion, and diminish it’s hold on hegemony. But, a controlled and measured process is required. I simply don’t hear or understand anything from Obama that says to me that he will be able to accomplish this. I do believe he has a naive approach to ‘meeting with world leaders’, and just as Bush looked Putin in the eye, and said he knew the man thereon, understood his character, Obama will get taken for a chump.
His rhetoric on the Iraq war vote is growing tiring, and now sounds to me like he is beating a dead horse. So what, if he 5 years ago took a stance that the majority of the country took. His thought that this better qualifies him for future foreign policy decisions is nothing but baffling.

  31. Russon 12 Mar 2008 at 4:28 am 31

This in response to Alex Weldon’s comment about PACs.

Alex, I hope you have time to read this comment. Both Clinton and Obama take money from PACs in a very big (equal) way. Please see these articles:

    http://www.zcommunications.org/znet/viewArticle/16601
    http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php…aign_Financing
    http://www.washingtontimes.com/artic…TION/853452725
    http://www.boston.com/news/nation/ar…s_rise/?page=1

The difference is that Obama lies about it and Clinton does not.

Unfortunately, our system is broken. Too much money is required to make a realistic run for President. The candidates that have a chance always end up taking PAC / Lobby money and lots of it.

Don’t believe anything either candidates say; do your own research to find the truth. Taking PAC money is pretty much a given for candidates of our flawed system; but basing your candidacy on NOT taking PAC money…and then taking TONS of money from that source is something I cannot accept. I’m insulted by the lies.

Don’t rely on main steam media; if you did you’ll understand why MSM doesn’t give an objective view of the candidates.

    Good luck with your research!

Finally! A website devoted to stopping this black racist! He does a good job hiding his racist ideology, but his stupid wife let it slip when she talked about her being proud of this nation for the first time in her adult life! What a couple… If elected, I am moving to England!

  33. Paul Jacobson 15 Mar 2008 at 6:27 am 33

I totally agree with you Jeff. What is wrong with this nation? Obama is not a proud American. He is first and foremost, like his wife, an African American. Their words! I’m glad this website exists. It’s important that the Democratic nominee withstand critical scrutiny. And contrary to tk’s kooky assertion, it should (and would) never be banished as long as a Democrat won (neither Obama nor Clinton has ever intimated anything of the sort). Having looked around, though, I’m left with Walter Mondale’s question echoing in my mind: “Where’s the Beef?” If this is the best Obama detractors can do, then Obama has little to worry about.

This site is so necessary in the blogosphere, which is filled with cult-like worship of BO. GWB has his neocons. BO just has his cons. He has made ties with unsavory types in his rise to power, and has already proven to be an undependable two-faced con-man. This nation needs leadership now, not more ego-filled agenda. Hillary is incredibly brave in persevering under pressure from the disgraceful Democratic Party led by the likes of Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy and Kerry, all of whom kowtow to BO. She has earned my respect for life. Should she fail to stop the con-man, then my vote will have to go to Mr. McCain. His senility pains me less than BO’s willful deception of the American people.

I have been blogging for the past 2 weeks-refuting a lot of the bu*l Sh*t lies that are being written about Sen Clinton.
I ALWAYS include links to source documents for my information.
How can I get this info to you so you can post here? It is much easier for us Sen Clinton supporters to go to 1 source for information that we can use as reference when blogging-as long as the info on this website has been verified and…a link to the soure of the statement is provided along with the bloggers statement.

    FYI

Sen Joe Lieberman (strongly pro-Iraq invasion) was being opposed in the CT Senate race by Ned Lamont- a VERY popular candidate who ran on strong Iraq War opposition platform.

Sen Obama flew in to CT to support Lieberman.

Yes, the same Sen Obama, who says that he strongly opposed the invasion of Iraq…

Yes, the same Sen Obama who has taken on board Zbigniew Brzezinski- as a foreign policy advisor. ZB wrote book advocating US control of Iran-by use of pre-emptive force if necessary:
ZB has been accused of being 1 of the several MAJOR reasons Osama Bin Laden was able to carry out terror attack on 9/11. Read why. He helped to arm Bin Laden & provide trained soldiers for his war on the US. (Infowars see below)

Yes, the same Sen Obama who has also taken on board as foreign policy advisor-Dr Susan Rice.
Dr Susan Rice has been accused of being another MAJOR reason why Osama Bin Laden was able to carry out terror attacks on 9/11. She convinced US govt not to accept Sudan offer to turn over Bin Laden to US in 1997 despite convincing arguments to the contrary provided to her by other US and foreign officials friendly to the US. .

“When Barry Became Barack” by Richard Wolffe, Jessica Ramirez and Jeffrey Bartholet
    NEWSWEEK 3/31/08 Issue

I found this story very interesting however I was quiet surprised when I reached the last page.

The author recounted a story that was passed on to Sen Obama by white family members concerning an incident at a waikiki bar involving Sen Obama”s bio-dad Barry Sr.
“Barry’s white grandfather and several other Hawaiian friends take Barry Sr. to a Waikiki bar. It’s a joyous scene, everyone eating and drinking “to the sounds of a slack-key guitar,” when a white man with a booming voice announces to the bartender that he shouldn’t have to drink “next to a nigger.” The stunned clientele expects a fight. But Barry Sr. smiles and quietly lectures the man “about the folly of bigotry, the promise of the American dream, and the universal rights of man.” In response, the shamed white man gives Barry Sr. $100, in apparent payment for his sin of racism. Even the young Obama found the tale hard to believe. But many years later, he recalls in “Dreams From My Father,” he got a phone call from a Japanese-American man who had been a classmate of Barry Sr.’s in Hawaii. Unprompted, the man told Obama the same story. Obama says he was struck by the man’s tone of “disbelief”and hope.”
I have wondered for a while now why , although Sen Obama talks about certain race issues he omits discussion on a VERY IMPORTANT RACE ISSUE:
    Reparations for slavery.
You can imagine my surprise when I got to the last page of the Newsweek article. I am prompted to re-ask my question concerning reparations for slavery both in the U.S and in Africa-

Last year Sen Obama supported the very controversial 3rd ward Ald. Dorothy Tillman in her runoff against an independent candidate.

Tillman is one of the most important and outspoken U.S advocates of reparations for slavery.

SunTimes Commentary- “Will 3rd Ward politics affect Obama’s presidential race? ” by Rich Miller 3/23/07

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Tillman

What is Sen Obama”s position regarding US reparations for slavery in the US, and from western and ex-colonial European powers for Africa and African nations?

During the 2001 UN-sponsored World Conference against Racism, many African nations demanded an apology-plus other things- from ex-colonial European nations for the role they (European nations) had in promoting the slave trade.

Why doesn”t Sen Obama ever discuss this very important “race” issue.

Any comments from the highly respected Donna Brazile, a political commentator on CNN’s The Situation Room and American Morning regarding Bill Richardson’s support of Sen Obama? . (In addition, she is a columnist for Roll Call and a contributing writer for Ms. Magazine). Several weeks ago she stated that she would quit her DNC position (Chair of the DNC”s Voting Rights Institute) if the Superdelegates vote trumped the will of the people.

Ms Brazile”s opinion is important for a number of reasons. She was the campaign manager of the 2000 presidential campaign of Vice President Al Gore. She was the first African-American woman to manage a major presidential campaign that also won the popular vote. She provides valuable insight and perspective as to how to interpret the facts that John Kerry and Ted Kennedy (Mass) and now Bill Richardson (NM) are going against the will of the voters and are endorsing Sen Obama.

Why is Sen. Obama always bringing up race in this race?
This race should be about votes-his votes in Congress.
If you want to keep this public discourse on the topic of race, then I will oblige one more time so that we can hopefully FINALLY move on to your voting record in Congress-where you have consistently sabotaged attempts to solve problems that affect middle class Americans.
Is it true that you supported 3rd ward Ald. Dorothy Tillman in her runoff (which she ultimately lost) against independent Pat Dowell” last year?

SunTimes Commentary- “Will 3rd Ward politics affect Obama’s presidential race? ” by Rich Miller 3/23/07
Ms Tillman has an impressive record in the civil rights movement-no doubt.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorothy_Tillman
She is also one of the leading and outspoken U.S advocates of reparations for slavery.
What is your position on reparations for slavery in the U.S?
What about reparations for slavery from western, ex-colonial powers for Africa and African nations? I understand that during the 2001 UN-sponsored World Conference against Racism, many African nations demanded an apology-plus other things- from ex-colonial European nations for the role they (European nations) had in promoting the slave trade.

“DURBAN, South Africa — African leaders have called on the U.S. and Europe to apologize for their part in the colonial slave trade but are divided on whether to insist on reparations.”
What is your opinion on this?
And one last question for now-
You told us that although you support Rev Wright-( you have been attending his church over 20 years and he married you & your wife and baptized your children etc) you disagree with many of his views.
What do you and Rev. Wright agree on ? What holds you together? What is the “glue” that keeps your relationship with him so strong over the years in spite of the fact that you disagree with him on some issues. By the way- what issues exactly do you disagree with him on?
I will wait for your responses.
Now that I have contributed some thoughts on your discussion dealing with race- can we move on?
I do not view you as a liberal, progressive Democrat becauseyou do not vote on issues in the way that a liberal, progressive, Democrat would. Please explain your voting record in Congress.

Sen Obama, I question your knowledge base and integrity when you speak to us about anything dealing with “security gaps” or international affairs.

They say that you can tell a lot about what kind of president someone will be by the people he/she surrounds themself with.

I question the motives and the capabilities of some of Sen Obama”s foreign policy advisors including Dr Susan Rice and Zbigniew Brzezinski (ZB).

Dr Susan Rice- a 1986 Stanford graduate and Rhodes scholar with a doctorate from Oxford University, According to Richard Miniter, in his book “Losing Bin Ladden”, wasn”t she a major opponent of accepting Sudan”s offer to turn over Osama Bin Laden
during 1996 to 1997? (During that time Dr Rice was the Clinton administration”s Secretary of State for African Affairs and she was a former assistant National Security Advisor under Sandy Berger.) Wasn”t it her personal beliefs on Sudan”s credibility that led her to do this? Didn”t her opinion to reject Sudan”s offer to turn over Osama Bin Laden overrule the opinion of Tim Carney- who was, at the time, ambassador to Sudan?
We still remember what happened on 9/11. Why has this not been brought up for public discussion
    http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0144,gould,29537,1.html
Dr Rice- An example of her good judgement? You decide.

Zbigniew Brzezinski- people around the world want to bring him “plus Henry Kissenger-up on war criminal charges for the global atrocities committed-stemming from their advice to president(s) they were working for.

ZB has written books on why the US should seek control of Iran if US wants to maintain its global primacy in Euroasia(i.e. oil) .

Although Sen Obama (and Sen McCain) has not endorsed Kyl-Lieberman ammendment, I am confused about his position on using pre-emptive force against Iran. He has been flip-flopping during past year-see timeline. Sen Clinton voted for Kyl-Lieberman Amendment, which designates the Iranian National Guard as a terrorist organization. She has been accused of doing this to maintain support of Jewish voters-who fear Iran as a threat. Vote as follows:76 yeas, 22 nays, 2 not voting- Obama, McCain. Sen Obama has been endorsed by ZB- who has written several books & articles in support of the US” taking control of Iran. Sen. Obama took on ZB as a foreign advisor last year after ZB endorsed him for president. I am not sure what Sen. Obama”s position is with regards to war with Iran. Why has this not been brought up for public discussion?

Do you see why I am anxious about you and your team’s ability to use good judgement when it comes to security issues or international affairs?

EIther the Superdelegates need to step in or major endorsers need to.
I am deeply concerned about the lack of political awareness shown by voters.
So many are completely uninformed and unaware of the types of legislation and votes cast by the candidate they are supporting for office. Follow the money-follow the voting record (and what that vote is really saying). Sen Obama’s voting record is very deceptive. I urge investigative journalists and/or anyone else who has desire to try to protect our democracy to please look closely at Sen Obama’s voting record. The reason so many republicans and conservatives support him in spite of tehfact that he is a democratic candidate is —that he votes like they do. He says one thing to all the progressives and liberals and dems but in matters where it really counts- he votes like a republican, conservative voter would. PLEASE -read this article and go from there-
    http://www.beyondchron.org/articles/The_Obama_Craze_Count_Me_Out_5413.html

Ask Obama supporters why they support Obama- ask them if they know anything about the deceptive nature of the votes he has cast. Voters who think that Sen Clinton will try to ’steal’ the election by the use of Superdelegates please note:Obama’s campaign has given more than $698,200 to superdelegates from his political action committee, Hope Fund, or campaign committee since 2005. Clinton camp( HILLPAC) has distributed $205,500 to superdelegates.
Center for Responsive Politics has found that campaign contributions have been a generally reliable predictor of whose side a superdelegate will take. For the sake of our democracy-I hope this is not the case. Iurge ALL SUPERDELEGATES AND VOTERS TO PLEASE EVALUATE SEN OBAMA’S VOTING RECORD. Popular vote vs delegate vote? One of the purposes of Superdelegate vote is to serve as an additional check and balance in our democracy. Even IF it turns out that popular vote supports Obama, delegates need to ask themselves- does obama support the best interests of the popular vote-Obama does not vote in the best interest of progressives, democrats or liberals. I am afraid that too many of Sen Obama’s supporters are truly uninformed because they have been misinformed about Sen Obama.
    agree.

The reason so many republicans and conservatives support him in spite of the fact that he is a democratic candidate is —that he votes like they do. He says one thing to all the progressives and liberals and dems but in matters where it really counts- he votes like a republican, conservative voter would. PLEASE -read this article and go from there-
    http://www.beyondchron.org/articles/The_Obama_Craze_Count_Me_Out_5413.html

Sen Edwards, Sen Gore- if you are asked to step in and endorse a candidate, please analyze the candidate’s voting record. Who best represents the BEST interests of the people. There is too much riding on this election. Please-follow your rational thinking process and your conscience. Do the right thing. Sen Edwards, Sen Gore- if you are asked to step in and endorse a candidate, please analyze the candidate’s voting record. Who best represents the BEST interests of the popular vote of the people. If you choose to follow the popular vote-great. If democrats and progressives and liberals support Obama-great but then take the next step by looking at Sen Obama’s voting record. Ask yourself- does Sen Obama support the principlas of the democratic party? Does he support the principles of the liberals and progressives where it counts-in his votes cast. There is too much riding on this election. Please-follow your brain and your conscience. Do the right thing.

Bill’s Ex-Counsel: Hillary Is “Misleading The American Public”
Is this the same Greg Craig that was named chairman and CEO ( about 3 1/2 weeks ago) of Commerce Energy, a leading U.S. electricity and natural gas marketing company ? If so, then this man has about 15 years worth of experience in the private sector heading up multi-billion dollar Energy Supply services companies..
At one time I understand that he worked as senior advisor on defense foreign policy & nat sec issues for Ted K for many years .
Is it true that he now works as a senior foreign policy advisor to Sen Obama? If that is the case, will Mr Craig have to resign that post to avoid conflict of interest (senior foreign policy advisor/working in private corporate sector-multi billion dollar elect & natural gas marketing company). I mean, how will that look to the public- especially when, as a senior foreign policy advisor he will have to be working with Z.Brzenszki -who is known to have had at one time (and may still have) a VERY strong interest in US control over Iran for-yes you guessed it- oil & gas in that part of the world. http://www.infowars.com/?p=370

Also, I’m confused. How could Mr Craig intimately know about Sen Clinton’s involvement/experience in foreign affairs? I understand that Mr Craig’s main role while serving for pres Clinton was to defend Pres Clinton against impeachment. So…what need would Mr Craig have had to know the full extent of Sen Clinton’s foreign experience while in the White House?

Call me naive but…since Mr Craig worked for Sen Ted Kennedy for about 5 years, and Sen Kennedy endorsed Sen Obama for president just before the Mass primary (along with Caroline Kennedy, John Kerry & Maria Shriver) which didnt help Mr Obama because he lost Mass but I digress..

Anyway, my point is…can I trust any statement made by Mr Craig? Also, just curious, why didnt the reporter who covered this story note this ‘employment history & relationship background of Mr Craig.

Sorry but I can’t trust anything Sen Ted Kennedy (or any of his friends) says anymore. He lost my respect when he endorsed Sen Obama just before the Mass primary without really explaining on what basis he was doing this.
Knowing now what I have learned during my research on Sen Obama’s voting record (which explains how he has won the support of many conservatives and republicans because he VOTES LIKE THEM) and watching him in action during his speeches (he has support of liberals and progressives because he feeds them what they want to hear so they can feel all warm & fuzzy ) I am furious with Sen Kennedy, Oprah. Caroline Kennedy, Maria Shriver. John Kerry and MoveOn.org for the GREAT deception they are trying to pass on to us. So, I wouldnt believe a word of what Mr Craig is saying about Sen Clintons lack of experience. Sounds like another swift boat attack if you ask me. You remember how that works right- a Kennedy or Obama tries to diminish the important accomplishments of Sen Clinton’s foreign affairs work through lies and makes her appear like she is a liar for talking proudly about her accomplishments. Please…this country has “been there, done that, and got the t-shirt”. How about you make nice Sen Kennedy and start talking about .oh I dont know…maybe Iraq, Iran, NSPD-51, and if we have leftover time maybe we could chat about Sen Obama’s VERY DECEPTIVE voting record ?

I am not really interested right now in his relationships with his church. If you want to really get to know a politician- follow the money AND dissect his/her voting record and go over it with a fine tooth comb-like many indep journalists have done for us.I don”t want to sound like I am nagging sir,,,but We need to discuss this…This is important.VERY VERY important. http://www.beyondchron.org/articles/The_Obama_Craze_Count_Me_Out_5413.html

GOP Group: Ex-Treasurer Diverted Up To $1M
This is indeed very disturbing news however-we need to keep things in perspective.

We should not lose focus on other important issues that are happening at the same time as this story is breaking.

In the past, media companies (not all but many) created a virtual news blackout on issues that were , in hindsight, very important to the country and its citizens by distracting us with factoids and other ’supposedly important breaking news stories- like…Tom Cruise announcing to the world as he jumped up on Oprah’s couch that he was in love with Katie Holmes…

Remember history-the lead up to the invasion on iraq- what was hot news at the time? Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton, Britney…need I say more?

We need to stay focused on serious campaign issues of the candidates and Iran- at the minimum.

Journalists please help us stay focused on the events that are important to the maintenance of our democracy…not the events that are important to advertisers.

According to Media Lens- (www.Media Lens.org) an independent journalists website
That is not correct. The Lancelot study has not been debunked. Its figure (650,000 civilian Iraqi deaths) is quoted along side the other three Iraqi civilian death figures.

The four sets of Iraqi civilian death numbers that are being reported are as follows:

1.2 million “Opinion Research Business (ORB), is a UK-based polling agency. It extrapolated the figure since the 2003 invasion by asking a random sample of 1,461 Iraqi adults how many people living in their household had died as a result of the violence rather than from natural causes. (This figure is used by BBC in its news reports.).
    http://www.medialens.org/alerts/07/071003_iraq_body_count.php

650,000 The Lancet surveys of casualties of the Iraq War, - conducted by researchers at Johns Hopkins University, does not differentiate between the invasion phase (March-May 2003) and the occupation phase (post May 2003).
    http://www.jhsph.edu/publichealthnews/press_releases/2006/burnham_iraq_2006.html

130,000 according to Iraq’s Health Minister Ali al-Shemari .Based his figure on an estimate of 100 bodies per day brought to morgues and hospitals ” such a calculation would come out closer to 130,000 in total.

71,00 to 78,000 - Iraq Body Count a group that relies on Western press reports to measure civilian casualties http://www.iraqbodycount.org/
*According to Media Lens, “the mainstream media are continuing to use figures provided by the website Iraq Body Count (IBC) to sell the public a number for total post-invasion deaths of Iraqis that is perhaps 5-10% of the true death toll.”

Jeremiah Wright, Obama’s Pastor: “Hillary Ain’t Never Been Called A N****r”
    Pastor Wright,
With all due respect sir-what on earth does this have to do with the campaign?
    This is more race baiting.

By making remarks such as this one “Hillaryu aint never been called a n***r”- what value is this statement adding to the public discourse? What is your point?

Because of statements like yours, you are distracting the voters from where they should be paying attention-
Sen Obama’s legislative voting record-and one of the reasons republicans and conservatives love him is because when you analyse his voting record- he votes the same way they do

Sen Obama’s rhetoric appeals to everyone.People will follow him to the ends of the earth and back. Yes everybody-even the progressives and liberals who are getting screwed by his voting record which hurts the middle class and the working poor. When you analyze all the “Newspeak” used when drafting up the legislation, you realise that when the govt or corporate interests were painfully screwing you-(thanks to some of the votes cast (or in some cases- not cast) by Sen Obama-you had a smile on your face because you couldnt even realise this was being done to you..

Sen obama’s choice of a foreign policy advisor (Brzenzski) -a man who supports our going after Iran (pre-emptively if necessary) and controlling the country, a man who many want to be brought up on charges (ALONG WITH HENRY KISSENGER) of being a war criminal.

Sen Obama’s choice of another foreign policy advisor -Dr Susan Rice-who as foreign policy advisor to Pres Bill Clinton totally neglected her professional duties and moral responsibility to properly inform and convince him and others to help the people of Rwanda who were getting slaughtered on her watch. Ask her how many times she visited the African continent during that period. This part of the globe was her major responsibility.

Sen Obama’s choice of David Axelrod as campaign strategist-a man who uses race baiting to help black candidates win elections, and then turns around and tries to get others crucified under false charges. It doesnt matter that he is hurting them, their family, their careers-nope this is politics.

Now, Pastor Wright, if I wanted to be really nasty, I could maybe have said the following to you:
“Dont spew trash like this out or else you will leave yourself open for retaliatory actions-actions which may involve people bringing up the fact that you have said really nice things about highly controversial figures which some mean people out there may try to use against Sen Obama.

But hey, my mother didnt raise me like that so I wont go there however she did raise me to speak truth
to power and sir…I have not been able to stop talking for a moment during this campaign. There are too many things wrong with Sen Obama’s campaign. Too many…

Who Is The Real Sen. Obama?
1- His choice of Zbigniew Brzezinski (person who at one time some have accused of being a war monger, who has written books on why the US should seek control of Iran if US wants to maintain its global primacy in Euroasia.

I agree with Geraldine Ferraro that the Obama camp owes her a major apology. Her statement was taken completely out of context by the reporter who initially quoted her. It is reprehensible to call someone who has spent over 40 years of her life fighting all types of discrimination , a racist.

As Ferraro said, she had an established working relationship with Axelrod in the past- he knows her. Why didn’t he have the decency to call her up and ask her to clarify. This incident exemplifies the fact that Axelrod & Obama want controversy not harmony.

The issue of race has been appearing quite frequently in Obama’s campaigns because it is campaign strategy on his part to win sympathetic white voters as well as the angry black voters.

Sen Obama hired David Axelrod to run his campaign strategy.

Axelrod’s specialty is getting black candidates elected by causing ‘race issues’ to pop up in each campaign.

Sen Obama knew this very well when he hired him-that is why he hired him-Axelrod delivers.

If you have been paying attention to the news lately, you will see that race baiting is working very well in Obama’s favor..until now.

These two articles provide excellent insight into how the race card is being used-to the ultimate detriment of the voters.

Sen Obama hired a firm to manage his campaign. The firm specializes in helping black candidates package themselves & their message to appeal to sympathetic white and angry black voters.
What you have been seeing happen these past few weeks with regards to news headlines including comments about racial slurs- is simply an indication that Sen Obama’s campaign strategy is working in his favor-just like he planned. ” His strategy involves promoting race baiting in an effort to get sympathy towards his campaign efforts and anger towards his opponents” so voters will want to vote for him.
    Read all about it…

“I don’t think Geraldine Ferraro’s comments have any place in our politics or in the Democratic Party. They are divisive. I think anybody who understands the history of this country knows they are patently absurd,” he told the Allentown Morning Call. “And I would expect that the same way those comments don’t have a place in my campaign they shouldn’t have a place in Senator Clinton’s either.”

Obama senior adviser David Axelrod said Ferraro should be removed from her position with the Clinton campaign because of her comments.
    *****************************************************
Ok…sure…anything you say guys. Sen Obama, please tell Mr Axelrod that attempts will be made (LOL) to remove Geraldine Ferraro AFTER Mr Axelrod is removed from his role as your Campaign Manager . Remind Mr Axelrod why you hired him to work for you. You did so because his firm has an excellent reputation helping black candidates shape their political message so that they can attract sympathetic white votes and angry black votes. As a result, race baiting is common practice among your campaign staff. Ferraro is a tough cookie who doesn’t crumble easily. Try to use race baiting with Mrs Ferraro again and boy are you going to be sorry if she bites & you try to reel her in! I hope you can swim because you will be going down…

Obama’s Speech Opposing The Iraq War
Sen Obama does not tell the truth.
If Sen Obama opposed the war in iraq so strongly, why did he fly to CT to attend a fundraising dinner to support Sen Joe Lieberman”s campaign?
Sen Lieberman was being opposed in the Senate race by Ned Lamont- a VERY popular candidate who ran on strong Iraq War opposition platform…
For me-actions speak louder than words.
Your words mean nothing to me.

Also, there is much controversy regarding the injection of racial comments and unethical campaigning in this election. HE STARTED IT AS CAMPAIGN TACTIC TO WIN ELECTION.DIVIDE PEOPLE SO HE CAN GET SYMPETHETIC WHITE VOTES & ANGRY BLACK VOTES.
I questioned why Sen Obama hired Mr Axelrod’s firm (known for working on black candidate campaigns) & what advice was Mr Axelrod giving the Obama campaign. I think I have found my answers in the daily press reports.

Ms. Ferraro is 100% correct in standing up to Sen Obama. His campaign stratgey is dividing our country-It is being done intentionally so he can win the elction. Imagine if he becomes president? Anyone daring to criticize his administration will be called a rascist???

“Former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski publishes a book, The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives, in which he portrays the Eurasian landmass as the key to world power, and Central Asia with its vast oil reserves as the key to domination of Eurasia. He states that for the US to maintain its global primacy, it must prevent any possible adversary from controlling that region. He notes: “The attitude of the American public toward the external projection of American power has been much more ambivalent. The public supported America”s engagement in World War II largely because of the shock effect of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.” He predicts that because of popular resistance to US military expansionism, his ambitious Central Asian strategy can not be implemented, “except in the circumstance of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat.” [Brzezinski, 1997, pp. 24-25, 210-11] The book also theorizes that the US could be attacked by Afghan terrorists, precipitating a US invasion of Afghanistan, and that the US may eventually seek control of Iran as a key strategic element in the US”s attempt to exert its influence in Central Asia and the Middle East. An open letter to Oprah, Ted and Caroline Kennedy, Maria Shriver, John Kerry and Moveon.org and Others Who Endorsed Sen Obama so early in the Campaign.

You owe the American public an apology.

The apology should be for the mistake you made in endorsing Sen Obama without providing information(facts-not opinions) to the public as to why he was your choice.

I don”t think that “following my heart” is a good enough reason to vote for the president of the US- but people bought into it because of the influence you have in our society.

You abused your influence. People abdicated their rule of reason to the trust they had in your judgement.

Our corporate owned mass media provided nothing but a three ring circus during the candidates debates. Voters had to furiously tap into previously underutilized resources to collect information on the candidate.

Everyone kept telling me to go look at his web site or read his book if I wanted to learn about him or his legislation.

    Has our country gone mad???

We had to dig into congressional records, old news articles,books-anything we could access to collect information on him.
We received much help from independent journalists who heard our plea for an analysis of this guy”s voting record. We had “shout outs” over the internet where people were finding articles and passing on to each other from across the country-even across the globe-about our US candidate for president.

How dare you endorse an individual without providing analytical support of his/her voting record. We can read-many of us can not analyze or interpret congressional voting records. As I said, the independent journalists who were very experienced in doing this came to our rescue and wrote articles for public discourse. We read these articles, verified the facts, and now we are furiousIf you want to see some of what I had to go through to collect information on Sen Obama- check out the Huffington Post “See Profile” tab next to my name-Athy. And I am just one of MANY people that had to go through this. Shame on you Oprah, and Moveon.Org. Many people I know have asked to have their names removed from the MoveOn.Org membership list because of this. Sen Obama says many things about himself but his actions do not confirm what he says. I was horrified to learn of his voting record and the type of legislation that he passed, rejected, or introduced. I am very disappointed with Sen Obama. He does not care for the people-he cares about his career.

You guys stopped being journalists a long time ago. You are not even reporters.

You are being paid to entertain us-and there has been a concerted attempt on the part of the corporate owned, consolidated mass media to dumb us down-keep us stupid and keep us entertained so that i doesnt hurt as much while our reasoning abilties we are stripped away.

The man was/is a brilliant political strategist-no question.
When the story broke about the extent of his personal integrity violations which related to the office of the presidency-ie political/business issues- then Clinton had no choice but to let him go.

What Morris did-with regards to relationship with his wife- that is his business- not mine, or the media’s or the Clintons’. He kept that part of his life private . I have no opinion on this matter.

However, when it was discovered he may have been ‘loose’ with important information regarding day to day White House operations (inc contents of meetings, reports, speeches) etc…-he crossed a line- according to some of these articles.

He came back with a vengeance and now he is attcking Sen. Clinton.

By the way- when Sen Clinton was just starting out, she helped collect research that was later used in support of the attempt to remove former Pres. Nixon from office because of laws he broke in his violations against the constitution and the US citizens( a little violations were similar to what the Bush administration is doing right now with regards to listening in without warrants on private conversations) .

Ask how many people in power on the republican side were raised by Nixon…Loyalty to former pres. Nixon runs very deep in today’s White House. The Clinton’s were targets all along for many reasons inc. this one. And…this is why, in spite of all this they were able to stay strong and focused and accomplish so many great things for our country. My respect for Sen Clinton runs very deep. I have nothing but the highest admiration for her-hands down-I trust her judgement and leadership abilities without question. She has been through ‘hXll and back’ and is still fighting for our country. She walked naked into the lion’s den for us.She is tested. You can’t ‘package’ this personal attribute to sell to black or white voters. She is who she is…and people know this. That is why she is respected by people around the globe. I strongly support her for the presidency. posted 03/09/2008 at 13:07:44
I am sorry. I can”t respect anything this guy says about the Clintons.

Is this the same Morris that had to resign from the BillClinton camp back in 1996 because of affairs that he was involved with a prostitute? Is this the same Morris who had been listed by the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services as the seventh-largest delinquent taxpayer for 2007. Morris is known as a brilliant strategist however, his integrity his highly questionable. His mission in life , according to these articles , is to destroy the Clinton family…

According to Howard Kurtz, 2/3/99 Washington Post article, Morris, “After two decades as one of President Clinton’s closest friends and advisers” he turned on Clinton with a vengeance.
This is the man who is accused of “spilling his guts” to the public about personal family matters, financial matters, political matters of the Clinton family while he worked for Pres. Clinton.

Although Sen Obama (and Sen McCain) has not enorsed Kyl-Lieberman ammendment, I am confused about his position on using force against Iran.

An unprecedented Commission of Inquiry has found the President of the United States and his administration guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity. The five-member panel of jurists unanimously found the administration’s actions “shock the conscience of humanity” in five areas – wars of aggression, illegal detention and torture, suppression of science and catastrophic policies on global warming, potentially genocidal abstinence-only policies imposed on HIV/AIDS prevention programs in the Third World, and the abandonment of New Orleans before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina.

Although Sen Obama (and Sen McCain) has not enorsed Kyl-Lieberman ammendment, I am confused about his position on using force against Iran.

Sen Clinton was one of the 77 senators (and 296 House members) who supported the “Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of US Armed Forces Against Iraq” SHOULD SUCH ACTION BE REQUIRED TO ENFORCE A UN SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION AND ONLY TO BE USED AFTER PURSUING WITH DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS. Is that clear Mr Baldwin- read the transcripts of the hearings. Pres. Bush and his administration lied to our Congress.

Please help me to understand why Sen. Clinton owes an apology?
    posted 03/10/2008 at 14:11:57
    Sen Clinton’s Vote on Iraq-
Sen Bill Nelson (FL) was one of the 77 senators who voted for Iraq War Resolution.
Nelson described for the Congressional Record ( pp S311-S312 dated January 28,2004) the days leading up to the 10/02 U.S. Senate vote on the Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of US Armed Forces Against Iraq. He explains how the House and Senate members were not told the truth about weapons of mass destruction, about troop levels, about the cost of the war, about sectarian violence.
In addition, I had read somewhere that just before the vote, about 75 senators were told in closed session specific details regarding how Saddam Hussein had the means of attacking the eastern seaboard of the U.S. with biological or chemical weapons delivered by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The discussions which take place in a closed session are subject to confidentiality rules and are similar to an executive session, which itself can be open or closed.
All business is considered secret, including Senatorial remarks, votes, and other parliamentary proceedings. The Senate can vote during the session or later to lift the secrecy, at which time the vote and the session proceedings will be published in the Congressional Record.
If a Senator discloses any of the proceedings except as directed by the Senate, the body can vote for expulsion of the member; any officer that does the same would be subject to dismissal. In extreme cases, the Senate could vote the member or official in contempt of Congress.
I don”t know who called the motion and who seconded it so that this can take place.
I don”t know if Sen Clinton was present. I don”t know what was discussed.
Then, on February 2003, Colin Powell presented further evidence in his Iraqi WMD program presentation to the UN Security Council that UAVs were ready to be launched against the U.S.
Sen. Clinton (along with 76 senators and 296 House members) voted in favor of the 2002 Iraq War Resolution, which authorized Pres. Bush to use military force against Iraq, should such action be required to enforce a United Nations Security Council Resolution (26 House & Senate members voted no and 3 abstained-. Force was to be used only after after pursuing with diplomatic efforts. (However, Clinton voted against the Levin Amendment to the Resolution, which would have required the President to conduct vigorous diplomacy at the U.N., and would have also required a separate Congressional authorization to unilaterally invade Iraq. Attempts were made to pass 5 amendments to the Bill. House (spratt, Lee) Senate (Byrd, Levin, durbin). All five failed..
Clinton did vote for the Byrd Amendment to the Resolution, which would have limited the Congressional authorization to one year increments, but the only mechanism necessary for the President to renew his mandate without any Congressional oversight was to claim that the Iraq War was vital to national security each year the authorization required renewal). In addition, Hans Blix the chief United Nations weapons inspector, said that without the congressional Authorization for the Use of Military Force the inspectors would never have been allowed into Iraq. According to Joe Wilson, Sen. Clinton”s approach — and that of the majority of Democrats in the Senate — was to let the inspectors complete their work while building an international coalition. .. According to Wilson, the betrayal of the American people, and of the Congress, came when President Bush refused to allow the inspections to succeed, and that betrayal is his and his party’s, not the Democrats. After the Iraq War began, Clinton made trips to both Iraq and Afghanistan to visit American troops stationed there. Noting that war deployments were draining regular and reserve forces, she co-introduced legislation to increase the size of the regular United States Army by 80,000 soldiers to ease the strain. She criticized the administration for making poor decisions in the war, but said it was more important to solve the problems in Iraq. Clinton supported retaining and improving health benefits for veterans, and lobbied against the closure of several military bases.[223]

Obama Planning Trips To Europe, Israel, Asia
    Its about time!
Even though I support Sen Clinton for president, I am concerned about Sen. obama’s international experience in case he wins in Nov. I am particularly concerned about Iranj

What are Sen. Obama”s plans for Iran/US relationship?

I ask this because of Sen. Obama”s choice of Zbigniew Brzezinski (ZB ) as one of his foreign policy advisors.

ZB endorsed Sen. Obama for president last summer. I read this article that appeared in the Washington Post but I had more questions about the endorsement afterwards than I had before I read it.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/08/24/AR2007082402127.html “Brzezinski Backs Obama” Saturday, August 25, 2007; Page A03 (ZB) endorsed Obama in 2007 for president

Sen. Obama , shortly after ZB endorsement, took ZB on as one of his foreign policy advisors.
Historians claim that it was Brezinski”s misguided actions (during the 1960″s and “70″s in Afghanistan/Soviet Union conflict) that led to the present day military strength buildup of Osama Bin Ladin”s “including others- terrorist groups.
Wasn’t ZB one of main people responsible for convincing the US govt to arm the mujaheddin.
ZB , wrote a book in 1997 ” The Grand Chessboard ” where he writes that we may soon have to get ourselves into a war with Iran if we want to maintain global primacy.

    http://www.cooperativeresearch.org/context.jsp?item=a1097chessboard#a1097chessboard
“Context of ‘October 1997: Brzezinski Highlights the Importance of Central Asia to Achieving World Domination” Cooperative Research History Commons.
[Brzezinski, 1997]”

Sen. Obama does not have much experience internationally so won”t he have to be relying much on his foreign advisors for advice and guidance?

Can you help me to better understand Sen. Obama”s foreign experience, his ability to make well-informed judgement calls (which rely on experience, knowledge and analytical abilities) when dealing with someone of the caliber of ZB working in a turbulent global environment?

I agree with Mr.Krugman in that this issue (financial crisis) is not being discussed enough in this campaign.

I was astounded by Sen Obama’s soundbite last week where he said that the poor condition of our ecomony is due to the Iraq War.

    And your point Sen Obama?

I agree that the Iraq War has hurt our economy BUT is this the only reason our economy is in this sad shape?

And Sen Obama, what did you do to help the citizens of this country ride out the horrible financial situation that we are in? Forgot? Ok , let me refresh your memory- you sabatoged attempts in Congress to help the middle class and working families and you continued to help the large corporations. That’s what you did.

    What the…..????
Ned Lamont (strong anti-Iraq invasion candidate) runs against Joe Lieberman (strong pro-Iraq invasion) in Democratic primary fight.
Obama supports Joe Lieberman in this contest (Democratic primary) to payback Joe Lieberman because Lieberman had supported Obama during Obama’s senate race in 2004.

    http://www.boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2006/03/31/obama_rallies_state_democrats_throws_support_behind_lieberman/

“Obama rallies state Democrats, throws support behind Lieberman” by Stephanie Reitz, AP, 3/31/06, boston.com
    ***************************************
Lieberman loses to Ned Lamont so Lieberman changes his party affiliation to Independent so he can run against Lamont (the Democrat candidate).

    Fast forward-

Obama NOW supports Democrat Ned Lamont in senate race ( this is after Lamont won the Democratic primary over Lieberman) against newly-inducted Independent candidate Joe Lieberman.

    http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/10/27/ap/politics/mainD8L0MB280.shtml

“Lamont gets help from Obama, Lieberman campaigns with Landrieu”, cbsnews.com by Andrew Miga, AP, 10/27/06

Independent candidate Joe Lieberman defeats democrat Ned Lamont and so Lieberman maintains his position as Senator-but now he is an Independent.

    Today, Ned Lamont is supporting Obama for president ;

Joe Lieberman is in Washington DC (representing Connecticut as State Senator) assuming his role once again as a war monger-except this time it is against Iran.

SO…you mean that Sen Obama supported Joe Lieberman (strong pro-Iraq invasion candidate) in the Democratic primary against Ned Lamont (strong anti- Iraq war candidate) as payback for Lieberman supporting Obama in Obama’s 2004 senate race?

SO…Obama (the self proclaimed anti-Iraq war presidential candidate) supported Lieberman ( the strong iraq invasion candidate who now supports the possibility of invading Iran) on political expediency versus principle?

Sen Obama, do you mean to say that with you, political loyalty trumps principles, values and personal integrity????

Wow…who is supporting Obama now in his run for president? Does that mean that if Obama becomes president he-Obama- will have to somehow ‘pay back’ his supporters-no matter what their positions are on matters of life and death?
Ok guys…let’s run through the list of Obama endorsers…and determine what each of these endorsers might want from him if he becomes president…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign_endorsements

What a coincidence- Look who is included in the list of Sen Obama endorsers for president-why…its none other than Ted Sorensen, President John F. Kennedy’s top advisor and speechwriter.

More things that make you say hmmmm……

It seems that ABCNews picked up on this coincidence too…

Only a handful of brave, responsible media organizations have tried to keep us informed to the point that we can be self-governing.

Sen Obama cares about poverty and the middle class? He has sabotaged efforts in Congress to pass bills that support the middles class. Obama criticizing McCain on mortgage crisis? Look at what Obama has done for the middle class with regards to the mortgage crisis. Warning: Obama supporters-this will upset you.

    “Obama’s Oil Spill” 3/31/08
Obama says he doesn’t take money from oil companies. We say that’s a little too slick.
    Summary
In a new ad, Obama says, “I don’t take money from oil companies.”

Technically, that’s true, since a law that has been on the books for more than a century prohibits corporations from giving money directly to any federal candidate. But that doesn’t distinguish Obama from his rivals in the race.

We find the statement misleading:Obama has accepted more than $213,000 from individuals who work for companies in the oil and gas industry and their spouses. Two of Obama’s bundlers are top executives at oil companies and are listed on his Web site as raising between $50,000 and $100,000 for the presidential hopeful.
This Factcheck expose is an excellent example of what the Columbia Journalism Review author reported on:
Sen Obama has accused Sen Clinton of soliciting $ from lobbyists and stating how this is not ethical

False Information About Sen Obama’s Legislative Record Has Been Refuted…

    http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/substance_abuse.html

    Substance Abuse
    April 1, 2008
A widely forwarded e-mail claims that Obama’s bills are more substantive and numerous than Clinton’s. Don’t believe it.
    Summary
A misleading e-mail has been making the rounds, alleging that Clinton has fewer legislative accomplishments than Obama, and that they are less substantive. We’ve had questions about it from a number of readers, and blogs have jumped into the fray. So what’s the real story on the Senate careers of the Democratic presidential candidates?

We find that the e-mail is false in almost every particular:
    • It sets up a face-off between apples and, well, broccoli, comparing only the Clinton-sponsored bills that became law with all bills sponsored or cosponsored by Obama, whether they were signed into law or not.
    • It includes legislation Obama sponsored in the Illinois state Senate, a very different legislative body.
    • It tells us that Obama has sponsored more legislation than Clinton, when in fact he has sponsored less.
    • It implies that Obama has passed more bills into law than Clinton, when the opposite is true.
Contrary to the e-mail’s assertions, Clinton’s and Obama’s contributions are not qualitatively different, and quantitatively, Clinton has the edge. For more details-visit website listed above.

Also, read these 3 articles for more indepth analysis about particular bills worked on by Sen Obama- his efforts have sabatoged these bills that were supposed to help the middle class and working families.

Something else making the rounds on the internet in case anyone runs into this…
Sen Clinton accepted Money from firm (IPA) that is accused of gross acts of discrimination…

    My Response:
The case is still open. This is America. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. She is not saying that she will not ever return it…

    http://deepbackground.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/02/29/718285.aspx

By Lisa Myers and Jim Popkin, NBC News 2/29/08

Sen. Clinton accepts donations from troubled firm

    Clinton Campaign Response:

Sen. Clinton’s spokesman, Howard Wolfson, told NBC News in a statement that the senator decided to keep the funds because the lawsuit is “ongoing” and because none of the sexual harassment allegations has been proven in court. “With regard to the pending harassment suit, as a general matter, the campaign assesses findings of fact in deciding whether to return contributions,” Wolfson said.

Wolfson dismissed the notion that keeping IPA money reflected a lack of concern about sexual harassment. “Sen. Clinton is proud of her long record of championing women’s causes,” he said. “When the EEOC rules on the allegations involving Burgess, we will consider that outcome in assessing if there is any reason to return his contribution.” Of the $170,000 total in donations from all IPA officials and employees, Burgess and his family members personally contributed $16,000 to Sen. Clinton, campaign records show.

“Other prominent Democrats also have returned IPA’s donations including Sen. Ted Kennedy and then-Senate candidate Claire McCaskill.

On the same day in 2006, Sen. Barack Obama received $4,000 in campaign donations from a senior IPA official and his wife.

Obama quickly returned $2,000 from the senior IPA official, campaign records show.

But the campaign has held onto the matching $2,000 donation from the IPA official’s wife, the Obama campaign confirms.

    IPA Reaction:
For its part, IPA vigorously denies any wrongdoing and said it has been fighting the EEOC lawsuit for more than six years. “Since a lawsuit was filed in June 2001, IPA has continually and consistently denied the allegations,” IPA spokeswoman Jennifer Cumbee wrote in an email to NBC News. “At IPA, we have zero tolera nce approach when it comes to sexual harassment.”

Obama Wins Backing of 9/11 Commission Co-Chairman Lee Hamilton by Julianna Goldman 4/2/08

Is this the man currently serving on Pres. Bush’s Homeland Security Council; the same man who, as Chair of the Select Committee To Investigate Arms Transactions with Iran-chose NOT TO INVESTIGATE PRES. G.H.W.Bush or Pres. Reagan because he felt it would not be good for the country; So much for transparency and accountability in government-right Sen Obama?.
Hamilton, who co-chaired the commission that investigated the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks (BTW ask how many citizens still think the govt is not telling us the whole truth about 9/11) and headed the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He and James Baker co-chaired The Iraq Study group (ISG), also known as the Baker-Hamilton Commission. This Commission was created by the United States Congress, to assess the situation in Iraq and the US-led Iraq War and make policy recommendations. Critics of the ISG’s final report say the study focused too much on Iraqi oil and so they concluded that the Iraq Study Group would extend the Iraq War until American oil companies have guaranteed legal access to all of Iraq’s oil fields.

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani called the group’s conclusions “very dangerous” to Iraq’s sovereignty and constitution, according to CNN. “As a whole, I reject this report,” Talabani said.

    Hi Jeff-

    Sounds great. Count me in.

Can we cut and paste comments w/links from this page (Profiles) over to Obama Basics page?

We can post note on this page (Profiles) letting readers know we have done this & include link on the note located on this page taking readers directly on to Obama Basics Page.

Why do this? Many of us have posted this website link (which takes reader directly to profiles page) on to other blogs.

So, readers who view our earlier blogs with link going to Profiles page may become confused if they link to Profiles page during their search for Obama facts and dont find any facts with links there. They will have no way of knowing that we are no longer posting facts on Profiles page but instead doing this on “Obama Basics” unless we let them know once they get to Profiles page.

If they cant find what they are looking for in 1 second or less we may lose the new reader.

(On ongoing basis, we will link directly to Obama Facts page)

If we do what I have suggested we will be able to have smoother transition of content from 1 section (Profiles) to Obama Facts section.

    Please advise.

P.S I can copy comments (which include facts with links ) from this page over to Obama Facts section if you want-let me know-

This website is a first-class beacon of light in a frightening maelstrom of smoke and mirrors. Most politicians do not show all their cards while campaigning, and most savvy voters know this. But we can usually infer a pretty good picture of what the candidate will try to actually accomplish once they are elected.
But this is not the case with Barak Obama. This man either does not have a clue, or he is downright sinister in his motives. He has absolutely zero substance.
My wife and I are mainstream Democrats supporting Hillary in the midst of this travesty. If Obama gets the nomination, she will not vote at all, and I will vote for McCain.
In other words, we will leave it to the lunatic fringe of the Democrat Party to lead the mindless sheeple in a conquest to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Sen Obama ’s Legislation Concerning Blackwater & Other Private Contractors-

    Thanks Sen Obama…but …no thanks…

    http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080331/scahill (BTW, Excellent publication)

Blackwater Seeps into the Campaign by Jeremy Scahill, posted online 3/18/08.

In February 2007, Obama introduced contractor reform and oversight legislation that has become the Democrats’ major plan in the Congress.

Scahill says legislation would give private military industry tremendous PR victory. The companies could finally claim that legally accountable structure governed their operations, yet they would be well aware that such legislation would be nearly impossible to enforce. Perhaps that is why industry has passionately backed this approach” Scahill.

Sen Clinton supports banning private contractors altogether but Scahill says not enough.

    http://www.democracynow.org/2008/3/28/amy_goodman_questions_sen_obama_on

Obama sponsored Private contractor legislation-however many view as “toothless tiger” because no way to monitor actions of private contractors.

Recent investigations into Obama”s legislative record (introduction, support, passage of bills) leaves many scratching heads because bills appear to be “gutted” with regards to helping citizens versus the corporations . Blackwater bill is example.

    Dear Mr Charlie Rose,

Instead of asking David Axelrod about the horserace with respects to campaign strategies, I wish…I really really wish you could have asked him the following questions:

1- Mr Axelrod, is it true that Sen Obama hired you because your specialty is getting black candidates elected by causing ‘race issues’ to pop up in each campaign. Is it true that using the race card is a major Obama campaign strategy so that Sen Obama can divide the voters and then scoop up the angry black votes and sympathetic white votes?

Mr Axelrod, please comment on what these 2 articles say about the intentional race baiting that Obama campaign is engaged in?

2- Mr Axelrod , is it true that you are involved with another company that works for corporate clients in helping shape public opinion about the company. Who are clients of this other company? Many have accused you of conflict of interest. Any comments? Also, what do you think about the fact that Illinois does not require public-affairs firms to register as lobbyists unless they seek to influence officeholders directly. Doesn’t this go against principles of transparency? Doesn’t this hurt the Illinois citizens while help the corporations doing business there?
What was Sen Obama thinking? As Sen, why is he condoning this state of affairs?

With a wildly off-base prediction record, (Dick) Morris said Hillary Clinton “might have some trouble … getting re-elected senator from New York”
Summary: On The O’Reilly Factor, Dick Morris claimed that Hillary Clinton “might have some trouble, though, getting re-elected senator from New York, particularly if the blacks give her a primary fight.” Morris has made previous predictions about Clinton that have proved wildly off the mark.

I do not respect anything Dick Morris says about the Clintons.

Morris that had to resign from the Bill Clinton in 1996 because of affairs that he was involved with a prostitute. Is this the same Morris who had been listed by the Morris’ failure to pay his income taxes. The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services as the seventh-largest delinquent taxpayer for 2007. Morris is known as a brilliant strategist however, his integrity his highly questionable.

Clinton.

Thank you for exposing this reverse racism! Hussein’s muslim conspiracy wants to separate not unite. They want to ruin our culture and Christian faith… There’s nothing wrong with being white - don’t let them make you hate your heritage!

I visisted your site hoping for some red meat about what is wrong with a candidate that I am leaning towards.

All I found was hate filled slurs about Islam and Reverand Wright. Don’t you listen to what the man says? Have you no hope for a better America?

You should be embarressed about what you have posted here. Its an excellent example of what is wrong with our country. Focus on the issues, and the delivery of those issues, not the man, or his history. That matters, but it matters so much less.

    Sad…

The corporate press msnbc owned by GE a govt contractor and another corporate giant Time Warner owns CNN. Previously most press favored Bush and republicans, not just Fox but all, we all held our breaths to hear even an utterance of DSowning Street Memo, and yet if we hadn’t exhaled we wwould be dead! because nothing. The corp news figures if you don’t hear it it mus not exist. Now the same GOP favoring press has not gone democrat as they are big corporations, but now they favor Obama and spin everything positive on his direction……Now why would the same GOP corporate press favor Obama?? Well if he is the nominee then McCain will face him in November’s election and they must be confident they can clobber him and his inexperience …and they are afrraid of Hillary Clinton. Thats scary as If Obama gets the nomination and loses..we will have more years of a Bush like administration, and as McCain puts it 100 years at war he wouldn’t mind…..the CIA can run their guns and drugs in Afghanistan to make money and many more troops will die..that is very sad, even if they were dumb enough to volunteer

The fact is many of the people who created this website are internally (whether they realize it or not) biased towards race and religion. If his name was John Edwards with the same experiences Obama has, this website would not exist. Think about it. Your discontent with him is that you think he is unqualified. Welcome to politics. Hilary would be nowhere without Bill and she hasn’t really done that much either.

It may take some time, but BO will slowly back himself into a web of his own rethoric, and a slowly sharpening public will cotton on to his style of politicking, and grow truly bitter. My hope is that this course runs itself before a democratic contender is chosen, rather than in the lead up to the general election.
Keep up the good work with the web page, and it is good to see more and more substance being provided that shows what a lot of us feel about BO.
Now spreading the word (occasionally quietly) on the east coast…

  120. PhxNickDon 16 Apr 2008 at 1:19 pm 120

Hitler was a powerful and convincing orator also.

I went into this election with an open mind, believing we had several great Democrat choices. I did my research, a lot of it. And with today’s information technology this is easy to accomplish. I used online media news, but backed it up with viewing video clips on you tube and various blogs, along with legislative records on government sites. Conclusions have lead me to believe that not only is BO a poor choice but one that could be extremely dangerous for this country. More so then the present President.

A majority of BO supporters are the young Internet crowd. This is apparent when you see the amount of comments and posts throughout the Internet. The number of responses favoring Obama in online pollings or hits to BO videos on you tube is skewed in his favor. Due to this it leads the public to believe that BO is popular. Take it from someone of another generation; none of us are sitting around answering online polls or viewing BO videos on you tube. Mostly what is disturbing about this is the vile and vicious attacks on non-obamo supporters. (Look at what is happening with Mayhill Flowers.)

While it is great that the young generation involved in politics, it saddens me to see these uneducated tactics. If each of this internet crowd would spend a few hours a week doing objective research needed to make an aware decision they would be able to connect the dots and see that their candidate might fool young simple minds but many of us have been around longer than that and do not scare of cower easy.

The sad thing about this is that is Obama will not make it through the general election. One needs to hope that the support for Hillary is there to ensure that McCain is not elected. To the young generation, not only are you gambling on a poor choice for this next election, there will be serious repercussions throughout your future – besides taxes and wars, imagine several more conservative supreme court justices making decisions about your life.

Juanita, Jamal, Jeff, Gregory - I truly appreciate your combined essays/remarks. Your words are comprehensive, clear, thoughtful, tough, and inspiring. You do a critical service for our country and to the democratic way of life, exposing this empty, unfeeling, ruthless, arrogant, sly, opportunistic, dangerous demagogue. (I don’t have enough adjectives to say it all as well as you have.) Obama’s “explanations” about anything are all so very meaningless because he does not have his own real inner experience. Obama exists only in the minds of the infected. And his dark character eats it up only

to spit out over and over again - with a snear.

C.G. Jung once wrote that resistance to the organized mass can be effected only by those who are as well organized in their individuality as the mass itself. Clearly, you at stop-obama exemplify, in spades, this resistance from your caring, deep individuality. It is not easy to fight this very powerful psychological force. But if we succumb to Obama’s mass-minded infection, and allow BO to psychically rob us of truth and individuality, we will pay a very, very dear price.
Admire you all - thank you.

You hurl critical good stuff for our country, for democracy …. exposing this empty, unfeeling, ruthless, sly, opportunistic, dangerous demagogue. (don’t have enough adjectives to say it as well as you have.) Obama’s everything about anything is so meaningless because he does not have inner experience. But he dangerously reflects what he sickeningly encourages. As you have pointed out, these propaganda forces are very powerful. If we succumb to Obama’s mass-mindedness infections, and allow BO to psychically rob us of truth and individuality, we will pay a very, very dear price.

C.G. Jung once wrote that resistance to the organized mass can be effected only by those who are as well organized in their individuality as the mass itself. This website is a joke, right? A black guy, a white (jewish) guy, a hispanic woman, and an asian man all conspiring against Obama together? That is so coincidental that they covered all the races and genders like that! :-) Wow, can’t you guys find a senior citizen (oH oh oh!~maybe an AMERICAN INDIAN senior citizen) and a lesbian to round out your one-two punch? Then it would be even more like “The Real World”.

Heh. This website is total avant garde digital performance art, like that one with the pregnant man on it.

I love it! Keep it up! Start one for Hillary, too! I’ll be the angry, Polish business owner. Grrrr!

Why does this he think hes only black. Hes both. His wife is one of the most racist things out there. Why are her records not allowed to be opened until after election. What does she have to hide. This guy has everyone around his little finger right now. When is everyone going to open there eyes about this guy. Yeah lets vote for barrack hussein obama. Has that american ring to it dont you think.

    USA4ever,

I do know that Sen. Obama is a powerful speaker, you want to believe him. Unfortunately, there is no measure of what type of leader he will be other than his past actions. Frankly he has no meaningful record. Take care in what you desire you may receive it.

A big thankyou for this site. Well researched, even those who
submit comments mostly have done their homework. I watched
in dismay this primary process as racism came full bore brought by - guess who! A black preacher. I have listened to OBAMA - CANDIDATE OF CHANGE until I am sick of it. What change does
he have in mind? WORSE are his peers and colleagues who launched and support his political career. And people, he is one
POLITICAL animal - believe it. lynn #133 calls ignorant and frightened those this site attracts… YOU should be afraid.
Be careful for the change you think you want may be no change for your good. The silver tongued serpent Obama speaks and holds enthralled the IGNORANT! You should be afraid when the
media picks your president for you - Big Brother indeed.

I love this site, you guy did a great job to post those facts. Some people ignore the facts to support Obama’s preaching, it’s not new, but sad, sad, sad…..America is a great country, we all would like to keep it that way, unless the majority of the Voters put Obama to be the President to ruin our Country.

He HAS shown mercy to Islamic radicals who threaten our country. But I guess that’s part of his Muslim religion.
